And sorry ya’ll for being the worst tumblr ever lately. I have literally been phoning it in with instagram a lot to save on scanning/fucking around redrawing shit in photoshop. 

You guys still following me : YOU ARE ALL SO EXCELLENT!!! Thanks for being patient and not getting mad about me never making those patches. I know I am SLOW and unreliable and it’s great to still have an audience of folk digging my work!

WIP on my first screenprinting patch design thing? Does this appeal to anyone? Is this something that people would sew onto items of clothing and wear in public?

I saw this image on the GUDU community on LJ recently, I fucking love it. Would buy and put it on my vest for sure. However, are you (dmqk) the original designer? If not, I would give credit to that person. I can find out who it is (if it isn’t you, haha) fairly quickly, if you’d like.

I’ve noticed a few people saying they’ve seen the image on LJ/Reddit and while that’s really exciting, I sure hope I’m being credited there. No one is yet to reply with an answer when I ask for a link to those posts so.. *SHRUGGLEZ*

If you look on the pups bandana I have signed this design with my name ‘Iain D’ - I sign almost everything I draw with that (although sometimes I forget) and I never write it on anything I haven’t drawn. Not even my underwear or pencil case. 

Maybe I should just rename my blog ‘iaind’ to avoid confusion. (OR people could look at my blog before assuming that I didn’t do the artwork? There is always that option!)

I have actually finished the design off (that was WIP, although it was almost finished) and printed it up on transparencies and have coated my screen in emulsion and it’s dried, I just am trying to figure out the best way to do the exposure. Incandescent bulbs are illegal here.

Can I just use CFL bulbs?! The art supply store guy was fucking useless when I asked him, and I really don’t wanna fuck it up.

in the spirit of iain: punx & pups (read baudrillard outside the laundromat). a true life moment, from last week.

i decided to combine forces and try brush pen with ink wash, but i don’t think i like it as much as rapidograph. stick to what you know, i guess. i also just bound myself a new watercolor sketchbook but the paper is different than i’m used to and it’s harder to get dark tones, for some reason. it’ll take some getting used to.
